The JD for the Portal Architect is as follows:

We must get someone who has worked on complex B2C portals, preferably using Web services, with real web portal experience. Real project experience in architecting complex B2B or B2C portals, and his familiarity on portal functionality and Web 2.0.

Technical Experience:

• 7+ years experience in the development of object-oriented software applications using JAVA / .NET Technologies.
• 3+ years experience with object analysis and modeling and methodologies preferably in multiple domains.
• Ability to articulate design decisions during design reviews
• Solid knowledge of Open source components such as: Hibernate, Spring etc.
• Should be able to architect entire portal from start to finish
• Demonstrated experience in developing open/closed solutions.
• Experience within at least 1 vertical area of enterprise level domains, such as, SOA/Web Services, Security, Business Rules, Persistence, Templates/Scripting , Event driven asynchronous processing/job processing, Domain Modeling, Performance Tuning, etc.
• Framework design and development experience is essential.

Required Skills:

• Solid experience in building consumer-facing websites, experience integrating with portal technologies (i.e. Plumtree, websphere, vignette).
• Must be able to solve problems, recommend solutions and communicate effectively.
• Must apply technical knowledge to determine these solutions and solve complex problems.
• Must have the aptitude to learn quickly, and have good analytical skills.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Must have product developer level discipline with respect to design closure, code cleanliness, unit tests, check-in/check- out process, and sensitivity to deployment dependencies, eye on post deployment support issues.
• Should use experience and analysis to develop creative and innovative solutions.
• Research, present and/or make recommendations on technical issues
• Should accurately predict time required to complete development tasks; adhere closely to development plans.
