Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for highly motivated and qualified Lead Software engineer to be a part of Vendio’s talented Engineering group. You will work closely with Product Management and Marketing teams in defining and designing the product. You will work with Operations and QA teams in the deploying the service. Vendio's Engineering team is working on building a cutting edge web based product that caters to the needs of small business customers who want to merchandize their inventory online. The product utilizes best of breed front end technologies, advanced automation tools, data analysis and data-mining web-services. Our product is used by thousands of merchants who do business on marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Google. You will be expected to lead the design and development of new product ideas and features.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, education, experience and ability required.
* B.Tech. (or equivalent) with 7+ yrs relevant experience, or M.Tech. with 6+ yrs relevant experience from a top tier educational institution.
* Prior experience with product companies preferred, especially in Web-based applications using a n-tier architecture
* Extensive hands-on experience in Core Java, and Java EE technologies.
* Good working Knowledge of ORM Frameworks like Hibernate is required.
* Experience with MySQL, and Oracle, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL is a must.
* Experience with web technologies like JSP, Servlets etc.
* Experience with front end technologies like Javascript, Javascript frameworks like ExtJS, JQuery, AJAX etc is strongly recommended.
* Database design and performance tuning preferred.
* A solid design and implementation background either in e-commerce or client/server or distributed object oriented paradigms
* Exposure to application servers like JBoss.
* Must have strong Technical Skills/Depth, Inter-personal skills, oral/written communication skills and an ability to think out-of-the-box
* Very self-driven and motivated to perform in a dynamic ever changing environment.
* Should have prior experience in leading teams, and at the same time being very hands on with technology.
* Should be able to do project management, and also interact with multiple team locations and cross functional teams like Product Management, Customer Support etc.
